1982–1997
Early Years
Incorporated as Bright Decorama (M) Sdn Bhd, specialising in high-end retail interior soft furnishings. Our first retail shop opens in Penang’s first shopping mall – Penang Plaza. We shifted our focus to vinyl flooring, fuelled by Malaysia’s booming semiconductor industry. Rebranded as BDC Corporation Sdn Bhd in 1997 to reflect our expanding business scope.
1999–2010
Expansion & Partnerships
Marked a major milestone with our first branch in Kuala Lumpur in Phileo Damansara, expanding beyond our Penang base. BDC Corporation was appointed as the official distributor in Malaysia for Armstrong, Altro, and Daiken. These long-term partnerships strengthened our presence in healthcare, education, and commercial sectors. As a trusted vinyl supplier, BDC’s growth coincided with KKM’s new flooring guidelines for medical facilities in the late 90s, and healthcare naturally became our niche market.
2011–2020
Growth & Innovation
Relocated to Kota Damansara, establishing a Fabrication Department to enhance capacity, quality, and customisation. Extended projects to commercial office towers and healthcare infrastructure, alongside growing expertise in healthcare.
2021–2024
Expanding Capabilities
Expanded into operation theatre systems, modular construction, and hygienic doorsets, using prefabricated, non-conventional methods to deliver safer, more efficient spaces with seamless finishes and long-lasting durability. Launched BLOC in 2024 as a collaborative hub.
